Clockwise: Food For Friends, Food at Pompoko, Creperie & Food at The Prince George Pub. |
Recommended dish: Sharing Platter for Two.
The Prince George Pub, Trafalgar Street, is a vegetarian pub that serves amazing food but the absolute best Roasts!! My favoutite is the Mushroom Wellington, pictured above. I don't actually like mushrooms but somehow this still manages to be one of my favourite meals ever. You will find me here on any given Sunday stuffing my face with a giant grin. This is by far the best vegan roast I have had in Brighton and not only that but also the BIGGEST. Congrats if you finish it!
Recommended dish: Sunday Lunch.

Pompoko, Church Street - Tofu Chilli Don. |
Pompoko, Church Street has been a firm favourite of mine for years. So many amazing vegan options and their tofu is cooked to perfection. It's incredibly budget friendly with the average price of a vegetarian/vegan main being about £4.50. Although relatively small, meaning you have to wait for a table, the service is speedy and the food, delicious.
Recommended dishes: Yubamaki & Tofu Chilli Don.

V-bites, East Street, Brighton. |
VBites, East Street, has been a staple for vegan food for a while now. Since moving right into the heart of The Lanes I have been here a lot. Vbites, formally The Redwood Wholefood Company, have their own range of foods that are used in the restaurant and you can also buy in shops. They are great if you are looking for 'mock meat' style food and their burgers are fantastic. They also have freshly baked cakes and desserts daily.
Recommended Dish: Vegan Donner Kebab (one of their alternating specials)

Creperie, Ship Street. |
Finally Beelzebab at The Hope and Ruin, Queens Road. The people at Beelzebab have recently taken over the kitchen at the Hope and Ruin. Loaded fries, Kebabs and Hot Dogs make this a junk food fans dream! Their speciality is their vegan kebab but everything on the menu is delicious and worth giving a go, especially the loaded fries.
Recommended Dish: Jackfruit 'Pulled Pork' Loaded Fries - you will not regret it.
