Left to Right: Superfacialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil & The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. |
Recently when my previous Toner had run out and I didn't have time to order some more, I was in desperate need of something! In my times of need like this I always know I can rely on The Body Shop to get me through so I picked up the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner as I had heard some good things about it. I like my Toners to be quite strong but still gentle and honestly I didn't think this would be strong enough but I was happy to be proved wrong! It is a very gentle toner, alcohol free and there is no burning or harshness at all but it still does a great job! It is also feels a little moisturising and makes my skin feel lovely and soft after use, whilst still leaving it feeling very clean and fresh.

Left to Right: Loreal 'Infallible' Mattifying Primer, Bourjois Rouge Edition 'Aqua Laque' & Loreal Nude Magique BB Powder. |
In terms of makeup my favourite has definitely been the Loreal Infallible Mattifying Primer. I recently reviewed this in my Loreal Primers: Review & Comparison post so I won't say too much but I honestly think this is one of the best drugstore/high-street primers out there! The price is fantastic, it does a great job at extending the life of makeup, mattifys the skin very well and creates a great base for makeup to sit on. Does exactly what it should do and does it well.
I have also really been liking the Loreal Nude Magique BB Powder. It does a really good job of mattifying my face, lasts all day and is actually quite light. I often find powders tend to stick or gather in any lines or creases on my face, emphasising them but with this I have had no problems. It is also packaged well, comes with a sponge (which, honestly, I will never use) and a mirror both in a separate compartment so the mirror stays clean. It feels pretty steady and secure so I am not expecting a powder explosion anytime soon!
After the great success of the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition launch they have bought out a new release from Rouge Edition line the Rouge Edition Aqua Laque! When I saw this I was delighted, to say the least! They are essentially a lipgloss but much better. I have always found lip glosses more trouble than they are worth. They are always sticky and messy and always high maintenance. But the wonderful people at Bourjois have somehow managed to beat this! The Rouge Edition Aqua Laque's are lightweight, not at all sticky and actually feel very moisturising. They also come in a great range of colours and there is something for everyone! I won't say much more as I have already reviewed them and I do like to ramble!
