Review || Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Defining Creme.

Something I stupidly didn't check was whether it had any silicones in it, as they can be bad for curly hair, sadly it does :( I still like this product but I will be unable to use it. I still like it and for anyone who is not CG it is a great product!

I really like the smell of this product, it is only lightly fragranced but it does seem to stay on the hair regardless, it doesn't smell chemically or synthetic like a lot of products. The consistency of the product is a thicker than I would have thought. A lot of cream based products for curls that I have tried in the past are actually quite watery and thin, so this seems to be a little different, perhaps one of the secrets to it's great reviews. Just like with the Curl Conscious Holding Foam a little seems to go a long way. It spread out really well onto my hands making for easy application. My hair felt softer I think as well, making it feel in better condition.

So as I usually do I applied it to rung out hair fairly quickly after I got out of the shower. I do this as soon as possible because the longer you leave and the dryer it becomes the more you will disrupt your curl pattern. I then flipped my hair upside down and shook gently, just to break up the curls a bit and help them form. Then I left to air dry. About 10-15 mins later my hair looked like this...

The curls look well defined and springy and they seem to be holding together very well, which is something I like. They also feel soft to the touch and not at all crunchy. As I said before my hair feels healthy and not as if the product is suffocating the hair. It also doesn't feel sticky to the touch, in fact just like the Curl Conscious Holding Foam it doesn't really feel as though there is product in my hair, apart from it maybe feeling a little softer than usual.

I am really pleased with the final result. My hair feels soft and nourished and doesn't really feel as though it has anything in it. The curls are well defined and springy and soft to the touch, intact it feels downright silky- which is not something I often feel about my hair, especially when it has product in. I would very much recommend this product. I know it is expensive but again I only used about a 50p sized amount for all of my hair so I am expecting it to last a long time. Again it is an investment piece, I only have it as I got it from ebay at a very discounted price.

I know not everyone (myself included) could afford this and I have done a couple of luxury reviews lately so I will try to do a cheap and cheerful (perhaps homemade even?) product review soon! :)

Have you tried any of the Bumble and Bumble products yet?

Let me know!
