April is one of my favourite months. It is like the light at the end of the tunnel here in the UK and especially Manchester! The grey days are rapidly coming to an end, there is just always a really fresh, bright atmosphere and everyones moods are seriously on the up! I also like April because it is when I really start changing the products I am using and start preparing for the Summer months. This April I have found lots of lovely, new products to start making that seasonal transition!

Left to Right: Superfacialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil & The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.
In terms of skincare this month my favourite product has been the Una Brennan Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil. The base oils are Olive, Grapeseed and Rosehip making it very nourishing for the skin and lovely to use. It also just does a really great job at removing makeup. Even heavy eye makeup just melts away even though it still manages to be very gentle. I use twice daily, as a cleanser in the morning and in the evening to take off my makeup and it works great for both. I like that it is also very easy and quick to use and I know that I don't have to mess around with cotton wool or wipes I can just rub it into my face for a few seconds, rinse off and I can jump into bed as soon as possible or save precious time in the mornings!
Recently when my previous Toner had run out and I didn't have time to order some more, I was in desperate need of something! In my times of need like this I always know I can rely on The Body Shop to get me through so I picked up the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner as I had heard some good things about it. I like my Toners to be quite strong but still gentle and honestly I didn't think this would be strong enough but I was happy to be proved wrong! It is a very gentle toner, alcohol free and there is no burning or harshness at all but it still does a great job! It is also feels a little moisturising and makes my skin feel lovely and soft after use, whilst still leaving it feeling very clean and fresh.

Left to Right: Loreal 'Infallible' Mattifying Primer, Bourjois Rouge Edition 'Aqua Laque' & Loreal Nude Magique BB Powder.

In terms of makeup my favourite has definitely been the Loreal Infallible Mattifying Primer. I recently reviewed this in my Loreal Primers: Review & Comparison post so I won't say too much but I honestly think this is one of the best drugstore/high-street primers out there! The price is fantastic, it does a great job at extending the life of makeup, mattifys the skin very well and creates a great base for makeup to sit on. Does exactly what it should do and does it well.
I have also really been liking the Loreal Nude Magique BB Powder. It does a really good job of mattifying my face, lasts all day and is actually quite light. I often find powders tend to stick or gather in any lines or creases on my face, emphasising them but with this I have had no problems. It is also packaged well, comes with a sponge (which, honestly, I will never use) and a mirror both in a separate compartment so the mirror stays clean. It feels pretty steady and secure so I am not expecting a powder explosion anytime soon!
After the great success of the Bourjois Rouge Velvet Edition launch they have bought out a new release from Rouge Edition line the Rouge Edition Aqua Laque! When I saw this I was delighted, to say the least! They are essentially a lipgloss but much better. I have always found lip glosses more trouble than they are worth. They are always sticky and messy and always high maintenance. But the wonderful people at Bourjois have somehow managed to beat this! The Rouge Edition Aqua Laque's are lightweight, not at all sticky and actually feel very moisturising. They also come in a great range of colours and there is something for everyone! I won't say much more as I have already reviewed them and I do like to ramble!

CoLab 'Sheer Invisible' Dry Shampoo in the Scent 'Paris'.
In terms of hair I have had a bit of a disappointing month actually. With one exception! I have been loving the Co-lab Dry Shampoo in the scent 'Paris'. Co-lab is the range Ruth Crilly from A Model Recommends created and has had nothing but rave reviews since its release. I am usually a little sceptical of things that everyone raves about, kind of a 'too good to be true' thing, but I eventually caved. If you like Rose or floral scented things, then you will love this. The scent lasts really well and I even had people comment on how nice it is! It is also just an amazing dry shampoo that does a great job and leaves hair feeling very fresh. It rubs in very easily and I have honestly become very reliant on it!

What have been your favourites throughout April?

Let me know!
