Curly Coconut Honey Hair Mask

All you need for this super simple, super effective mask!

Now I can't really claim to be great on my science knowledge but the reason that Coconut oil is meant to be so good is due to its 'low molecular weight'. It basically means that the oil is able to penetrate the hair shaft rather than just coating or sitting on top of the hair. In theory this should be better for our hair and actually improve its condition. I have also added honey to this recipe as it is also known for its conditioning properties. I have been using Coconut Oil for about a year now and I have see big improvements.

Mix:
1 Tsp Coconut Oil
1Tsp Honey
1 Cup of Condtioner

I usually leave the mix in overnight and wash out in the morning. Depending on your hair type you may need to adjust the ingredients slightly. I have very dry hair so I may need more oil than some people.

Afterwards the main thing I notice is how soft, when dry, my hair hair is. Honestly it feels like silk. I did one last night and as I am writing this I am just stroking my hair every now and again as it feel so silky. This just makes it feel really healthy as well and it doesn't weigh hair down too much, but I do find that it does help to control the volume and really helps with frizz. The more and more I use Coconut oil the better my hair feels and the better I feel! P.s It smells lovely too :)

Do you have any of your own homemade, hair treatments?

Let me know!
